HAF Week 6 Summer Day Camp places

(Week 6 - 26th August to 30th August) Book now for this 5 day course.

Funding for the programme has been provided by the Department of Education (DfE) to provide places for children and young people in receipt of means tested Free School Meals (FSM).

Booking codes will be sent to eligible families via text, email or by your child’s school. If you do not receive your code, please contact the HAF team for support. HAF@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk HAF@cumberland.gov.uk

The booking code will cover one week booking Monday to Friday of £250  per child which includes a free lunch meal. Transport is available from specific points in Barrow, Dalton and Ulverston.

To complete the booking: 

  1. £250 is covered by HAF funding, please enter this amount in the voucher section and write ''HAF Funding" in the notes.
  2. For Tuck shop credit please proceed with online payment.

For YMCA organised transport please arrange for your children to be at the established collection points (Barrow, Dalton-in-Furness, Ulverston) and arranged departure times (details to be confirmed and communicated soon; departure between 07:15 - 07.45  from Barrow).  

Otherwise, please arrange for your day camper/s to be dropped off at YMCA Lakeside North Camp reception (entrance located at the front of the building) between 8 and 9am. Pick-up times will be between 4 and 5pm. Please note North Camp is the second YMCA entrance you reach coming from Newby Bridge.

Bus Return: The minibus is aiming to leave YMCA Lakeside at 4pm to return via same established collection points (to be confirmed) in Ulverston, Dalton-in-Furness and Barrow. 

Day camp is for children aged 5 to 14 years, in three age groups, consisting of a five day week.
 
The focus will be on outdoor activities to keep your child challenged and entertained.
 
Here at Lakeside we have been running day camps for over 40 years, providing an enjoyable and safe environment for children from all over Cumbria and North Lancashire
 
Please note:
  • Currently one week per child can be accessed with the HAF code at Lakeside. If you wish to book a second week please contact us directly via email or phone and you will be added to a waiting list! Depending on demand we may be able to offer a 2nd week of adventure.
  • Lunch will be provided each day
  • Friend requests for children to be with friends or siblings may only be accepted at time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate them, please email  lakesideenq@fyldecoastymca.org. Please be aware these requests are not guaranteed
  • Guest extras - please add tuck shop credit as guest extras. (YMCA tuck shop will be open at various times through the week for sweets, memorbilia, drinks)
